Clark the Mountain Beaver and His Big Adventure!

I purchased this book for my 4 year old Great Niece who is a huge fan of animals. Even at 4, this book captivated her, the artwork is beautiful. The story is so much more than the typical children's book as it encompasses the history of Lewis and Clark as it tells the adventures of Clark, the Mountain Beaver. I think it is awesome that my niece is quietly learning history while enjoying a book about an animal (and one I didn't know existed!). Truly an enchanting tale! We love Clark and hope to see more books about him and his adventures.

My 8 y/o son who is in 2nd grade loved this book. It is a wonderful story of a Mountain Beaver named Clark (yes, after the famous Lewis & Clark) who discovers what his life and the outside world are all about. He learns to accept himself and to accept others as he learns he is not a traditional beaver. It's a fun story with beautiful illustrations that will fill you with warmth and make you smile as you travel with Clark on his journey. .

Great colorful pictures. Good feel good story for children! Even learned a little history. Can't wait for Clark's next adventure.

Clark's adventure is a wonderfully written book with valuable lessons about friendship, acceptance, trust, facing your fears and so much more. Each page is beautifully illustrated. Each little critter has a very distinctive personality that will charm and delight. A positive, uplifting story that is perfect for bedtime.

My 3-year old not only sat through chapter after chapter, he asked questions about the cirtters introduced and was engaged. There are multiple life lessons strewn throughout the story such as friendship, trying new things, how we are different and celebrating your strengths. Clark the Mountain Beaver is the perfect addition to our favorite book rotation. In fact, Charlie brought it to bed and slept with it under his pillow.
