A Welcome Rain

There is a unique quietness that accompanies a subtle rain.

It’s as if everything settles in for the cleansing it will bring.

I was witness to this this morning on my walk.

You could almost see

the trees stretch their

limbs just a little bit further

to catch every last raindrop.

Blooms hang in wait for

the limbs they rest upon

to soak up the goodness that

is bound to nourish them.

Birds sing in a hushed

tone so as not to disturb

the stillness.

With each falling raindrop

the air becomes fresher and

lighter as nature’s bouquet

lingers casually in the air.

People huddle inside their

cozy homes for fear of

getting wet.

I have come to love a quiet walk in the rain. Where a walk-in sunshine calls for action, a walk in the rain calls for subtleties.

I know that to be able to take the time to soak in nature’s nourishment is truly a gift from above.

I want to take a quiet walk in the rain now. I think I just might have an opportunity this weekend. I hope all will walk in the rain to take in the beauty, listen and cleanse the soul.

You always bring me back to down to what matters now.
    xoxo
