Spring is in the Air

Spring has Sprung

HAPPY SPRING!!! Yes! It has been awhile, but it is April now and spring has sprung here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

What I love most about the spring are the sweet subtle signs it brings. Like…

Right after a spring rain, it’s as if the rain purposely washes all those beautiful fragrances from each flower and sends them adrift in the air for us to rejoice in.

Or that unexpected burst of sunshine that filters its way through the forest to rest upon the damp feathery trunk of a nearby cedar tree illuminating the bright green ferns unfurling below it.

Or that last remaining rain drop hanging onto the tip of a newly formed pine branch before it drops to the ground to nourish the earth.

And, of course, the chorus of gentle love songs that dance through the air from the local and newly migrated songbirds in search of a mate.

Ah, life begins anew!

These are the signs from nature to remind us that it is often the little things in life that matter the most. So when spring appears outside your door this year, search for the subtle moments and embrace the newness and wonder they behold!
